Count on our team to help you regain your beautiful smile with long-lasting dental implants
After losing a tooth, you don’t want to wait long to find a great replacement. Each of our teeth are crucial for speaking, eating, smiling, and living our lives to the fullest. While there are several options for restoring missing teeth, dental implants are widely regarded as the best and healthiest option for your smile. At Nu Dentistry Spring, our periodontist team is dedicated to helping you get your old smile back with beautiful and affordable dental implants! A dental implant is composed of three key elements: an implant, abutment, and crown. The implant itself is a titanium screw surgically fixed into the jawbone, acting as your new tooth’s anchor. The crown is the cap that seals your new tooth, letting you regain your original tooth’s appearance and bite. The abutment is the metal connector piece that keeps the artificial tooth together. Once all together, your new and improved tooth will shine just as brilliantly as your missing one—and for a lifetime! Missing more than one tooth? No problem! Our teeth implants are compatible with both bridges and dentures, so you can replace anywhere between a single tooth and an entire smile in one fell swoop. Implant supports improve regular bridges and dentures, allowing them to last longer with greater stability. It’s time to get your smile and own confidence back with beautiful dental implants! To schedule a consultation with our staff, please call our dental office at (713) 489-0538 today.
During the implant process, we want your journey to new teeth to be a no-brainer

Gum disease and tooth extraction can cause the jaw to shrink over time. In half of all cases, a bone graft is required to reinforce the jawbone and give the implant proper support.

With a healthy foundation in place, the titanium implant can be surgically embedded in the jaw. Here, it will fuse with the bone and act as a support for the rest of the tooth.
The implant screw will gradually fuse with and reinforce the jawbone in a process called osseointegration. This can take four to six months, depending on the number of implants.

Once you’re fully healed, we will attach the metal abutment to the implant. A small incision is made in the gums that have healed around the screw before the abutment is placed.
Finally, a custom-designed crown will be secured to the abutment, completing your new tooth. Depending on your specific needs, a dental bridge or denture can be used instead

See why our patients love their new teeth implants
There is more than one way to replace missing teeth. However, implants are the best and healthiest option, with their own unique benefits that bridges and dentures can’t match. After teeth are removed, the underlying jawbone starts to shrink without teeth to support. While bridges and dentures can prevent remaining teeth from shifting out of place, they can’t prevent bone loss. This can lead to facial sagging, more frequent dental problems, and even further tooth loss. Dental implants are designed to look and function exactly as a real tooth would, roots and all. By embedding themselves in the jaw directly, they can stop post-tooth extraction bone loss in its tracks and keep your jaw and smile healthier. And since implants don’t rely on neighboring teeth for support, your remaining teeth stay untouched and whole. They also have the longest lifespan, easily staying in great shape for 20 to 35 years. The titanium implant screws themselves can last a lifetime with good care. Dental implants are also incredibly flexible to your dental needs. While normal dental implants replace one or two teeth at a time, they are compatible with other dental prosthetics, so you can restore the exact number of teeth you need affordably. Bridge and denture implants are also more stable and longer-lasting than their standard counterparts. Like standard implants, bridge implants and permanent dentures can last decades.

Cosmetic dentistry has become even more advanced with time. A front tooth implant is an innovative solution for anyone missing one or several front teeth. Compared to other restorative solutions, a front tooth implant won't affect your adjacent teeth. The best part is, the look of your implant will be natural.

Implant supported dentures or snap-on implant teeth are a perfect solution for with tooth decay or missing teeth. Compared to more traditional dentures, these implants are more stable, less likely to slip and are great at disguising gum tissue loss. Patients who wear conventional dentures might also experience loss of their jawbone.

Replacing several teeth just got easier with our implant bridges. For people who might not want to replace each tooth with a dental implant, an implant bridge will be a great alternative. Iimplant bridges are anchored to your mouth using dental implants reducing the pressure applied on your jawbone. Implant bridges are a long-lasting solution that give you the look, feel, and functionality of your natural teeth.

Replace your missing teeth with implant dentures from Nu Dentistry. Unlike removable dentures, implant dentures are locked in place giving you more confidence when you smile, laugh, talk, and chew. They are also a long-lasting solution for replacing missing teeth and eliminate any concern of movement when performing regular dental functions. Restore your smile and your confidence with implant dentures from our amazing dentists.
Our dentists are dedicated to ensuring your upcoming implant procedure is a complete success

Dental implants are flexible to patients’ needs. They can replace as few as one tooth with a single implant or as many as an entire smile with All-On-4 dental implants.
Oral problems like gum disease should be treated beforehand to ensure your dental implants have a healthy and supportive foundation.

Since dental implants involve surgery, patients should be well enough to undergo sutures and incisions. Additionally, diabetes, pregnancy, and smoking can potentially put your dental implant’s success at risk.
Missing teeth and severe gum disease can cause jawbone loss, which teeth implants depend on for support. However, with a dental bone graft, you can replace the missing tissues and give your new teeth the solid foundation they need.

Dental implants take time and several visits to fully install securely. For more immediate results, patients may instead be interested in a dental bridge or denture, depending on their specific needs.

Dental implants can last your entire lifetime as long as you maintain great dental hygiene and diet habits. Once the implant screws fuse with the jaw, they will be just as strong, sturdy, and secure as a natural tooth would. The porcelain crown attached to the implant can last 25 years or more as well.
2
Yes. Implants are the most natural-looking replacement tooth option. We design your crowns to precisely match the color, size, and shape of your original tooth so you can enjoy your old smile again like new.
3
While implants replace missing teeth by inserting them into the jaw, dental bridges instead use the remaining teeth on either side of the socket as their anchors. Bridges are composed of a false tooth or teeth and two dental crowns on either end. Once the crowns are placed on the neighboring teeth, your new teeth can comfortably and securely rest in the space between. Bridges can replace up to four teeth in a row simultaneously.
4
Your dental implant cost is determined by several variables: the number of teeth replaced, the type of implant (standard or mini), the number of implants, the type of prosthetic, and whether dental grafting is needed. For example, replacing a single tooth will cost less than full-mouth dental implants like All-On-4. Plus, any supplemental treatments, like periodontal care and dental sedation, will have an additional cost.
5
Mini dental implants are exactly what they sound like. These implants use titanium screws that are much smaller than normal. They require less jawbone support, often allowing patients to skip the bone graft step entirely. They also allow for faster healing time and integration. As such, mini implants are a popular option for patients who need full-mouth dental implants.
6
About half of all implant cases require bone grafting. Bone loss can start just six months after extraction, and it is especially rapid within the first year. Patients who wait to start implants or who had a previous bridge or denture will likely have lost enough bone that they will need grafts before starting the implant process.
